Quick answers
Do my RAW files ever leave my Mac?
No. RAW development, manual adjustments, masks and seven of the AI tools run entirely on your Mac. The six cloud tools upload a processed image with its metadata removed — never the original RAW.
What are AI credits for?
Only the cloud tools use them: AI HDR, Relight, Erase, Expand, Upscale and Denoise. Each one shows its cost and asks you to confirm before anything is generated. On-device tools never use credits.
Which RAW formats can I open?
Camera RAW files including Apple ProRAW, DNG, NEF, CR3 and ARW. Finished photographs export as JPEG, HEIF or TIFF, and your original is always preserved.
How do I manage or restore my subscription?
Subscriptions belong to your App Store account, where you can change or cancel them at any time. On a new Mac, open Settings in Eightstop and choose Restore Purchases.
